I received a deluxe sample of the Pure Silk Rich & Luxurious Shave Cream with Aloe in the scent Raspberry Mist in my Fresca VoxBox from influenster.com for free. But all my opinions are my own. I decided to write a review about it.

MY THOUGHTS:

This is my first time trying out a shaving cream from Pure Silk and I have to say I am really impress. The foam it creates is rich and luscious and it makes it incredibly smooth to shave. The creamy texture really helped the razor glide on the skin and get a smooth shave. Most importantly, I got a really close shave and there were no razor burns. The foam allows for a close shave but it does not clog your razor.  Also, the raspberry scent is amazing. The scent is one of my favorite parts of these shaving cream. I am in love with it. 

In terms of ingredients, if you have sensitive skin, please be aware of the ingredients. It contains Isobutane, Propane, and Butane which are a colorless and odorless gas used as aerosol propellants. They are used as alternatives to chlorofluorocarbons, or CFC propellants which have been proven to have negative effects on the environment. Some experts say that Isobutane, Propane, and Butane do not pose dangers to the ozone layer, but these ingredients may still pose minor health risks. Although the FDA has approved the usage of this ingredients in cosmetics, it pays to know if you are allergic or prefer more natural products. 

Also, it uses Sodium Lauryl Sulfate as its cleaning agent and emulsifying and foaming agent which is consider one of the most irritating cleaning agents in skin-care products. However, it has not been proven that there is no link between these ingredients and cancer. So, do your research and do not believe false rumors.With that said, this ingredient can cause skin irritation to some people. So make sure you read the list of ingredients and directions before using any skin-care product.


REPURCHASE???

I am really happy with the results and how long my shave lasts. So I will most probably buy it again when I run out. I would really recommended for people who like scented shaving creams and who like a creamy texture for there shaving cream. I have been using body lotion and conditioner for a while now and it did a good job and it left my skin nourished but these shaving cream offers a closer shave, and not chance of razor burns or cuts.
